App vs. Browser: What's the Difference?
The bearfish app and our website provide identical access to sportsbook markets, live-dealer blackjack, roulette, baccarat, Dragon Tiger, slot games, and esports. However, the native app offers practical advantages for regular members. Push notifications alert you in real-time when Liga 1 or Piala AFF odds move, or when your withdrawal is processed. The app caches your account data locally, so you can view past transactions and your current balance even if your internet disconnects briefly. Load times are noticeably faster because the app only fetches the data you request, without rendering full web pages. For members placing multiple markets during live tournaments, or checking account activity frequently, these speed differences accumulate. The web version is equally secure and requires no download; the choice depends on whether you value the convenience of notifications and offline access.
Device Compatibility
Our bearfish app requires Android 7.0 or newer on Android devices, and iOS 12.0 or newer on iPhones and iPads. Most phones sold in the last five to seven years support these versions. If your device is older and cannot update to these minimum versions, you can still access bearfish through any web browser—simply visit our homepage and log in with your credentials. No account features are restricted to app users; the browser experience is feature-complete.
Resolving Installation Issues
If your Android phone displays an "Unknown sources" warning, this is a built-in security check—Android requires your explicit permission before allowing installation of apps from outside the Play Store. To proceed, navigate to Settings > Security, locate "Install unknown apps" or "Unknown sources", and toggle it on specifically for your browser. Once installation completes, you can toggle it back off. For iOS users, certificate errors are uncommon but can occur if your device's date and time are set incorrectly—check that your phone's clock matches the actual time, then attempt installation again. If you encounter network errors during download, try again on a stronger connection, or switch to WiFi if you were using mobile data. Clearing your browser cache may also resolve persistent download failures.
Data, Permissions, and Account Security
When you install the bearfish app, you authorise it to store your login credentials locally and retrieve your account data from our servers. The app requests permission to send push notifications about market updates, withdrawals, and promotions—you can disable notifications anytime in your phone's Settings without affecting your account. All communication between the bearfish app and our servers is encrypted using HTTPS; your data is never transmitted in plain text. Payment card details and bank account information are never stored within the app itself. When you deposit through e-wallet, mobile banking, local payment, online payment, e-wallet, mobile banking, local payment, online payment, e-wallet, or mobile banking, payment information is entered securely through our payment processors and handled by their encrypted systems. If you lose your phone or sell it, log out of bearfish immediately through Settings to prevent unauthorised access to your account.
